Random News

You know how I like to occasionally offer compilations of not-so-random news. Well, it's that time of the month again, so fasten your seatbelts and join me for a ride.

George Lucas, a recurrent guest here in Sunny Jhanna, says that The Clone Wars animated series premiering next year will be at least 100 episodes long. I can't wait… Actually, not only can I wait, but I have zero interest in this.

It seems the ubiquitous Nicolas Cage might play Magnum in the Magnum PI movie that's in the works. Will it be as good as I remember the show being? Or, even more important, was the show as good as I remember it? The answer to both questions is probably the same.

This one's too good not to share with you, dear readers. I couldn't care less about Ridley Scott, but he just said something we were all anticipating (and making fun of) a few weeks ago here in Sunny Jhanna. On the topic of downloading movies from the Internet and watching them on your iPod or computer, he claimed that "we try to do films which are in support of cinema, in a large room with good sound and a big picture". Or, in other words, as true to the director's vision as possible [insert laughs here]. And then he goes on to say that "we're fighting technology. While it has been wonderful in many aspects, it also has some big negative downsides". And here I was thinking that it was the new technology that allowed the directors to actually present on screen exactly what they had in their minds. I thought that's why Scott himself is re-releasing Blade Runner later this year. Ah, the irony.

Angel lives again… or is undead again, or whatever phrase fits this character's state. After the success of Buffy Season 8 (which is now being said to be an open series with no end planned, hahaha), the Angel series will also continue in comic book format. I just hope they get a good artist this time, as opposed to spend all the flashy artwork on the cover. Probably not...

And that's it for now. We'll have more news in individual posts. Either that, or we'll run out of stuff to talk about.

Jejeje.

A mí particularmente no me disgusta.
