Here's a picture of a lion I drew for one of my girls. I drew it right after the kangaroo and the cow, and by then I was starting to feel it. Still, I think it turned out rather well. Just like I did with the cow, I didn't want to simply repeat what I drew last year when another girl asked me for a lion, so I thought this time the King of the Jungle should be chilling instead of prowling. I kind of like how the more straight lines of the mane combine with the way curvier lines of his body, and I hope you like it too!

Roar

Just like I did with the cow, I didn't want to simply repeat what I drew last year when another girl asked me for a lion, so I thought this time the King of the Jungle should be chilling instead of prowling. Dibujazo, sí señor. Imagino que con cada animal será distinto, pero, ¿utilizas fotos de referencia siempre, o sólo para captar detalles?
Utilizo fotorreferencia con todos para saber como son las patas, el cuerpo, y la anatomia en general. Si no, no parecerian "reales".
Eso lo explica todo, pues. Es que me había hecho a la idea de que, salvo excepciones, lo dibujabas todo de memoria. No es que ahora vaya a pensar que no controlas la anatomía animal, pero es que antes lo veía espectacular.
Grandes dibujos, digo.
Hahahaha. No te preocupes, que entiendo lo que quieres decir. Antes pensaba que usar fotorreferencia era hacer trampa, pero cambié de opinión hace bastante. A fin de cuentas, ni copio las fotos ni las calco, sino que las uso como guía. Claro que, después de haber dibujado estos bichos, ahora sí podría dibujarlos de memoria :)
