Twisted Classic
Check out Billy Tucci's take on the famous Coppertone ad. This illustration, originally conceived by artist Joyce Ballantyne (a friend of my beloved Gil Elvgren) in 1959, has been emulated, replicated, and updated roughly a gazillion times, and Tucci's version is simply the latest one. The artist has drawn this cover for Zenescope's Grimm Fairy Tales: Return to Wonderland, and it probably is the best thing about the book. You can read a little bit about Tucci's take on the cover here, and buy the limited edition print here. Wouldn't you love to have this piece of artwork hanging on your wall? I sure would!
