Last night I finished reading The Laughing Corpse, which means I've already read three of the six books I bought on August 5th, and two of the Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter books. I said the first one was just okay, but this one I really liked. The characters are more developed, and it is a lot of fun to see the alternative St. Louis come to life (or undeath, I guess) and to come across a bunch of characters we met in the first book. I still think there is plenty of inconsequential talk that doesn't really need to be there; and this is from a guy that absolutely loves dialogue (even when it's kinda useless). However, the characters in the book seem to love to beat about the bush, and some times it is exasperating. Other than that, I enjoyed it, so I guess I'll be getting the third one, Circus of the Damned, at some point. First, though, I need to finish the remaining three books, plus The Amulet of Samarkand (it was in the kids section!), which I bought last Saturday so Nacho can stop telling me to buy it. Of course, I'll keep you updated.

Espero ver tu critica del libro, ya veras como no te decepciona, aunque deja muchas preguntas sin respuesta y hechos sin explicaciones. Por cierto seguro que te encanta Bartimeo, o como se escriba, tiene ese sentido de la ironia q tanto nos gusta y q tampo exito tiene con las mujeres.

Y seguimos a por record. ¿Cuántos van ya? ¿Cuarenta libros? Y estamos a mediados de Agosto. Deberías ir pensando en apuntarte al Guinness, a ver en cuanto está la mejor marca.
Por cierto, Nacho Nash, no puedo dejar de aprovechar para darte las gracias por darle movimiento al blog, que le hace falta. Graaciaas.
Veamos...
1. Anoche leí las primeras 30 páginas o así del Amuleto de Samarkanda. De momento, es divertido; y Bartimaeus, o Bartimeo en español o nachense (que muchas veces NO es lo mismo), es un tío simpático, es verdad. Seguro que tiene tan poco éxito con el género femenino como cierto lector avezado de tendencias Raveras. Ya te contaré más...
2. Con respecto al presunto récord, The Laughing Corpse ha sido el libro número 42 del año. Pero ahora que estoy preparándome para empezar las clases (el lunes!), mi ritmo de lectura y dibujo bajará (de hecho, ya lo ha hecho, y considerablemente).
3. Mi coblogueador favorito me ha leído el pensamiento. Estaba leyendo los últimos posts de Nacho, y estaba pensando "cómo mola que esté posteando tanto". Y va Halagan y lo dice! Como ya he dicho varias veces. GMTA. Así, acronimizado directamente.
No hay de que, la verdad es que las gracias las tendria que dar yo por tener todos los dias algo interesante que leer en la red, que es dificil y ademas aprendo ingles ya que Mario lo pone dificil, me paso mas tiempo con el diccionario que leyendo :-). Por eso me cuesta deciros que os dejo...temporalmente ya que cuando tengo vacaciones me quedo sin internet, ya que soy pobre y en mi casa no tengo. Pero bueno seguid asi chicos, que seguro que otros se animan a escribir, y asi cuando vuelva lee todo lo atrasado.

Una pena que nos dejes temporalmente. Pero dado que es por una buena causa, pues bueno, vale. Aunque te echaremos de menos.
Y sí: seguro que los de Fnac me echan de menos, aunque debo corregirte en algo: 42 libros en OCHO MESES. Aún me quedan cuatro para dar por concluido el presente año de lectura, hehehe.
