My wife and I went to see The Woman in Black last weekend, and we both loved it. The movie is creepy and spooky, very atmospheric, beautifully shot, and it commands all your attention. I found myself coiled in my seat, trying to guess where the next disturbing phenomenon would come from. By the time the credits rolled, I was both exhausted and exhilarated. On the technical side, I couldn't have been more impressed with Daniel Radcliffe's performance (and his clothes!), and I thought the script very effectively combined moments of tension without dialogue where Radcliffe is "alone" in the house, with more relaxed, outdoor scenes in which he interacts with other characters. This gave the film variety and helped ease some of the accumulated tension, which was masterfully spread throughout the whole movie. I know this is only February, but I am sure The Woman in Black will be one of my favorite movies this year!

Pues habrá que verla. ¿Alguna dificultad viendo a Radcliffe haciendo de otro personaje? En vez de Harry Potter, claro. ¿Te costó no pensar que iba a aparecer Dumbledore de la nada para salvar el día?

La verdad es que no se me hizo difícil ver al Radcliffe en un papel distinto al que nos tiene acostumbrados. No sé si fue porque hace un trabajo más que digno, o porque la película es tan diferente a las de Harry Potter, pero la verdad es que no tuve problema alguno en aceptar su personaje. Un poco joven para el papel sí me parece que es, pero, aparte de ese detalle, Mr. Radcliffe da la talla, al menos en mi opinión (y la de mi esposa). Ya me dirás qué piensas si la ves, Hal, que sé que Nacho no se acerca a este tipo de películas.
Hecho. Por cierto, Nash, ¿por qué no ves películas de terror?
Es sencillo, una pelicula de terror lo pasas mal, para pasarlo mal veo el telediario que es gratis.
Ah, vale. Me pasa algo parecido con los dramas, que normalmente no me apetece verlos. La verdad es que yo las pelis de terror, sin ser mi género favorito, sí que las disfruto. Es como comer guindillas, un dulce sufrimiento voluntario.
