You've Been Hoodwinked!

Okay. This is how our Special. I drew this picture for a friend as a birthday card (I usually draw mine instead of buying them, I'm cheap like that). I drew it with pencil, and then inked it and messed around with Prisma markers. (For some Prisma goodness go check Jim Lee and WildStorm Studios's Blog Gelattometti, especially Alé Garza's sketches.) There's a long, random story behind this pic, but suffice it to say it involves Entertainment Weekly, DarkStalkers (whatever happened to that series?), and fish. Weird, I know.

Selene

Okay, I'm almost done with today's Uploading Madness. Just bear with me for another one. This is supposed to be Selene, Kate Beckinsale's character from Underworld. I drew this pic shortly after seeing the first one, a couple of years ago. Then, a couple of weeks ago, I went to see the sequel, and, to quote Stephen King (not on this particular movie, though), "it sucks like a vacuum cleaner". Please don't go see it. And if you ever thought about going to see Bloodrayne, ask yourself why, and then just don't. Go see Hoodwinked instead.

Green Hag

Is there anything cooler in life than an evil, green hag? Okay, the answer is "yeah, of course there is". However, is there anything cooler than DRAWING an evil green hag? I think not, especially when she's cackling (because that, my friends, does qualify as cackling). I can almost hear her evil laughter. Or maybe I'm just weird.

Wizard of Oz

Another black and white picture. Somebody suggested I drew the characters from The Wizard of Oz, and I thought it would be fun. I haven't seen the movie in years, and I've only recently read Wicked, so I had to go and get some reference pictures, to get it straight (you know, which one's the dog, which one's the coward, and so on and so forth). And this is what I came up with. It's supposed to be seen vertically, but while working on it (I move the paper up and down so much when I'm drawing) I discovered it also looked kind of neat when seen horizontally. So go rotate it, people!

Rusty Robot

One of my favorite pictures of all time, this is one of those rare cases in which I was able to put onto paper exactly what I saw in my mind. That's probably why I like it so much. As for the technique, it's pencil, watercolors, and then black ink. Riveting, I know.

Pirates of the Chattahoochee

I've always thought Chattahoochee is a really cool name; and even though I hadn't heard of it when I drew this picture, I think it fits rather nicely.

Learn Spanish

Hey, if a pink dragon tells you to learn Spanish, you'd better do as he says. I have a version of this picture in which my sister changed all that pink into blue. I'll try to find it...

Teaser

Okay. It's been forever since I've posted anything here, but since we have no readers, it doesn't really matter. But that's changing today (and it probably won't happen again for some time, unless Halagan wakes up and posts something else). So, I'm about to post some pictures for you, Dear Nobody, so you can see the kind of stuff I draw. I've gathered like ten pictures or so, ranging from really old to really new, so I hope you'll enjoy them.
